You can use Infogram’s REST API to create infographics programmatically. Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Create an auto-updating dashboard that shows the status of your sales and revenue, pulling information from your CRM.
- Pull your Twitter Analytics data and create charts that you will later embed on your blog through our programmatic publishing feature.
- Visualize data from the US Open Government project.
The Infogram REST API provides programmatic access to chart creation, updating, and downloading. The API uses OAuth 1.0 for authentication and requires data to be formatted in JSON. Find the complete documentation HERE.
You will find your API key and the API secret by:
❶ Clicking on your username in the upper right corner of the screen and clicking on Account settings
❷ Switching to API tab.
Note that using this feature will require some knowledge of PHP, Java or Ruby programming languages.
To be able to use any of the premium features, such as downloading or live data updates, you'll need to have any of the subscription plans we offer.
Note: API is available only in chart and map project types. Template project types can only be created via the Infogram editor.
