Changing the background of your project in Infogram is as easy as 1, 2, 3. To get started, there are three different background options to choose from (click one of the options to be directed to the specific steps):
To give the background a solid color:
❶ From the project editor, click the Settings tab in the right sidebar.
❷ Click the colored square under Project background and choose a color from the available color set. You can also enter a specific hex color code or use the color chooser.
To add an image to the background:
❶ Click out of any selected objects.
❷ Click Add background image on the right side settings panel. Choose an image from the media library or upload your own (up to 10 MB in size).
❸ Now you can adjust the image transparency by using the slider or change the image by clicking Change image.
❹ To remove the background image simply click the X button next to Change image.
Tip: You can also upload an image via the graphics gallery if you want to place the image in a particular location on the canvas.
❶ Click on Add Graphics on the left side panel.
❷ Search a keyword or upload an image from your computer (up to 10MB).
❸ Drag and drop the image into the canvas. Resize it by dragging the image corners.
❹ Click the image thumbnail in the right side settings panel to switch to a different image.
To add a shape background to charts, maps, and other elements:
❶ Click the Add shape button in the left sidebar, choose a shape, and drag and drop it inside the editor.
❷ Click and drag a corner to resize.
❸ Click the Send to back button in the quick menu to move the shape to the background layer.
❹ Adjust the shape transparency by using the slider in the right sidebar.
Note: If you are creating a chart or map project type, the only option to change the background color is by toggling to a different theme design. For more information, you can check our article on Changing project theme.
