Changing the background of your project in Infogram is as easy as 1, 2, 3. To get started, there are three different background options to choose from.
- a solid color
- an image
- a shape for charts, maps, and other elements
To give the background a solid color:
❶ From the project editor, click the Settings tab in the right sidebar.
❷ Click the colored square under Project background and choose a color from the available color set. You can also enter a specific hex color code or use the color chooser.
To add an image to the background:
❶ First, look up a keyword or upload the image into your graphics library. To do so, click the Add graphics button in the left sidebar or simply drag and drop the image from your computer directly into the editor. It will automatically upload the image to the graphics library.
❷ Drag and drop the image inside your project.
❸ Change its size to fit your canvas.
❹ Click the Send to back button in the quick menu to move the image to the background layer.
❺ Adjust the image transparency by using the slider in the right sidebar.
To add a shape background to charts, maps, and other elements:
❶ Click the Add shape button in the left sidebar, choose a shape, and drag and drop it inside the editor.
❷ Click and drag a corner to resize.
❸ Click the Send to back button in the quick menu to move the shape to the background layer.
❹ Adjust the shape transparency by using the slider in the right sidebar.
Note: If you are creating a chart or map project type, the only option to change the background color is by toggling to a different theme design. For more information, you can check our article on Changing project theme.
